Crushing and Milling expert.
About The Role
As a
Crushing and Milling expert
, you will report to our Group Mining Operations Senior Manager and be part of the Central Technical and Manufacturing Department. You will participate in supporting global expansion projects and ongoing operations.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance - in the field of limestone-dolomite/(do)lime crushing, milling, classifying, drying and handling - to all Lhoist Regions for improvement of existing processes, development of new processes or assistance in new project developments.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of available processes, equipment and their development by suppliers and/or other industrial operators.
• Develop methodology for process performance appraisal (measurements, data processing).
• Assist/Support Technical Manufacturing (T&M) CAPEX projects through:
• Comparison of expected performances for various equipment options in the project phase.
• Development of specification for equipment and best adapted technology selection.
• Analysis of supplier offers and technical support of negotiations with suppliers.
• Identify and apply the best combination of parameters for blasting, crushing, and handling to maximize the yield of valorized stone and minimize waste.
• Identify best practices and organize the cross-fertilization and know-how exchange in the Lhoist Group.

About You

• 10+ years of experience in the mining industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Previous experience as an expert in Crushing, Screening and Milling with operations or engineering experience in the limestone, cement or aggregates industry.
• Experience in mine to mill optimization processes is required
• Proven track record of managing mining operations and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages, notably French and/or German is a plus.
